Joshua Carr
Co-owner
Joshua is a dedicated professional with a wealth of knowledge in human services, student affairs, and adult learning. He holds an impressive academic background, including a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Allison University, a Bachelor of Social Work from Dalhousie University, a Bachelor of Community Studies from Cape Breton University, and a Bachelor of Education (Adult Ed) from Brock University. Notably, Joshua has recently completed a Professional Master of Education from Queens University and is set to embark on a Master of Arts with Royal Roads University and a Master of Management with Memorial University in the Fall of 2023.
Joshua's career journey has revolved around integrating human service models into student services delivery in higher online learning. He began his professional path in the non-profit sector, working in community justice. There, Joshua played a pivotal role in developing and delivering counseling programs to youth and adults involved in legal conflicts. Furthermore, he collaborated with the court system to implement extra-judicial programming, expanding his impact within the justice system. Over the past decade, Joshua has dedicated his expertise to supporting and assisting adult learners in various roles related to student success, accessibility, and academic support.
His profound understanding of the unique challenges adult learners face has been instrumental in providing tailored guidance and empowering these individuals to achieve their educational goals. Joshua has also extended his expertise to the classroom, contributing to the growth and development of future professionals. He has served as a faculty member with Algonquin College and the University of Fredericton, where he continues to facilitate and develop online courses. Joshua's teaching portfolio encompasses diverse subjects, including communications, psychology, counseling, mental health and addictions, and work-integrated learning.

Nicholas Bijnens
Co-owner
Nicholas is an experienced professional with a strong background in Engineering, Science and Regulatory Affairs. Holding a B.Eng. in Space Engineering and an M.Sc. in Earth and Space Science, Nicholas brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his work.
During his academic journey, Nicholas conducted groundbreaking research for his master's thesis, which involved the precise determination of satellite orbital locations using data obtained from received signals. This project showcased his exceptional analytical skills and ability to leverage data for practical applications.
With a passion for education, Nicholas has dedicated his career to sharing his knowledge and fostering learning environments. He has over 8 years of experience teaching and facilitating courses in higher education, where he delivers complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner and provide invaluable mentorship to students, further enhancing their educational journeys.
Nicholas also holds a position as a senior engineer for a prominent Canadian satellite operator. In this role, he focuses on spectrum usage and regulatory affairs, ensuring compliance and optimizing operational efficiency. His deep understanding of the industry, combined with his technical acumen, allows him to navigate complex regulatory landscapes and contribute to the success of satellite operations.
